Portrait Session: Tori

I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but I complete forgot to make this blog post! These pictures were taken back in APRIL! I'm obviously killin' it in the blogging game.

Better late than never! My friend Tori and I had been talking about doing a photoshoot for a while before this, and we wanted to do something fun and different. The last time we had done a photoshoot was around 2010-2011, so we were definitely due for another one. I've always felt a strong love and connection for desert landscape, and I wanted to somehow incorporate that into this photoshoot. We were both down to travel a little out of town, so I did some research and found the Cactus Garden in Balboa Park, San Diego. Even three months later, I'm so stoked out how these pictures turned out, and I'm happy to finally be sharing them with you all!

**Story time**
During this photoshoot, my car was broken into! Tori and I were about 10 feet away from my car, but we didn't realize what was happening until it was too late. Unfortunately, my back passenger side window was smashed, and he got my purse. Luckily, I had taken all of my things out of my purse before the photoshoot and put them in my camera bag, and none of Tori's things had been stolen (we drove together), so it ended up being a very lucky, unlucky situation! Lesson learned: never leave anything in plain sight in your car, even if it's broad daylight at a busy intersection with many people around!
These pictures were totally worth it though. Enjoy!

I had a blast working with you Tori!

Portrait Session: Nicole

Hello everyone! I got together with Nicole again for a quick photoshoot down in Encinitas, she needed some new shots for an upcoming meeting with LA Models! Soooo exciting! Here are a few of the shots, I hope you all enjoy them! It was my first time doing a portrait session at the beach, so it was fun to experiment with such harsh natural light, but I think I got some good shots! It also makes things interesting when my model is 5'11" and I am only 5'4" hahaha. But I always love working with Nicole, and I can't wait to see you on the runway as a Victoria's Secret model someday!

I could not get over the picture above, seriously how gorgeous is she!

After the beach we came back into town and got a few more shots like the two above. Overall it was a fun mini portrait session! Thanks Nicole!

Portrait Session: Nicole

Meet Nicole! Nicole and I met in high school and have been good friends ever since. This is her second photoshoot with me, and she is such a natural in front of the camera! Nicole is currently a model for Hollister Co., and is working on building her portfolio to hopefully sign with a major modeling agency. When I ask her why she feels so natural in front of a camera, she responds with "All those years of watching America's Next Top Model have taught me well!" I tested out a new location with Nicole today in the rose garden of Temecula, and I am pretty pleased with the results. Best of luck to you Nicole with your modeling career!

It's always a pleasure working with you Nicole!

Portrait Session: Kyra

Today I did a photoshoot with the lovely Kyra Ruiz! Kyra and I have been friends since dance team in high school, and we have some great memories together! Kyra currently attends UC Irvine where she is studying to become a dance major.
We tried to get a jump on the heat wave, but it was still incredibly hot. Kyra did a great job and pushed through the crazy hot weather, and her portrait session turned out awesome! It was so great seeing you again Kyra!

My personal favorites are these ones by the flowers, so pretty!

Thanks again Kyra! You were awesome!
