Portrait Session: Tori

I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but I complete forgot to make this blog post! These pictures were taken back in APRIL! I'm obviously killin' it in the blogging game.

Better late than never! My friend Tori and I had been talking about doing a photoshoot for a while before this, and we wanted to do something fun and different. The last time we had done a photoshoot was around 2010-2011, so we were definitely due for another one. I've always felt a strong love and connection for desert landscape, and I wanted to somehow incorporate that into this photoshoot. We were both down to travel a little out of town, so I did some research and found the Cactus Garden in Balboa Park, San Diego. Even three months later, I'm so stoked out how these pictures turned out, and I'm happy to finally be sharing them with you all!

**Story time**
During this photoshoot, my car was broken into! Tori and I were about 10 feet away from my car, but we didn't realize what was happening until it was too late. Unfortunately, my back passenger side window was smashed, and he got my purse. Luckily, I had taken all of my things out of my purse before the photoshoot and put them in my camera bag, and none of Tori's things had been stolen (we drove together), so it ended up being a very lucky, unlucky situation! Lesson learned: never leave anything in plain sight in your car, even if it's broad daylight at a busy intersection with many people around!
These pictures were totally worth it though. Enjoy!

I had a blast working with you Tori!

Senior Session: Vanessa

Hello everyone! It's been over a YEAR since I've done a senior session! Lucky for me, I was asked to take my boyfriend's cousin Vanessa's senior pictures while we were on vacation in Mission Bay, CA. Vanessa is a senior at Green Valley High School in Henderson, Nevada. She is involved with the volleyball team, as well as the AP program (brains and beauty!). After high school, Vanessa plans on transferring to a school in California, with her top picks including Cal State Fullerton, SDSU, CBU, and Whittier. Her dream is to earn a degree in Psychology, and eventually begin her own practice for marriage and family counseling or school counseling. Vanessa, you were a pleasure to work with and I had so much fun taking your senior pictures! I wish you the best in your academic future, and have an amazing senior year! Meet Vanessa!

 Congratulations Vanessa, and thank you!

Portrait Session: Nicole

Hello everyone! I got together with Nicole again for a quick photoshoot down in Encinitas, she needed some new shots for an upcoming meeting with LA Models! Soooo exciting! Here are a few of the shots, I hope you all enjoy them! It was my first time doing a portrait session at the beach, so it was fun to experiment with such harsh natural light, but I think I got some good shots! It also makes things interesting when my model is 5'11" and I am only 5'4" hahaha. But I always love working with Nicole, and I can't wait to see you on the runway as a Victoria's Secret model someday!

I could not get over the picture above, seriously how gorgeous is she!

After the beach we came back into town and got a few more shots like the two above. Overall it was a fun mini portrait session! Thanks Nicole!

Senior Session: Mia

Mia is a close friend of mine, and she has been asking me to do her senior pictures since she was a sophomore. Now that she's finally a senior, of course we took pictures ASAP! Mia has been on the varsity dance team at Great Oak High School for four years now, and she also dances competitively at Temecula Dance Company. Her plans after graduation are to attend UCLA to study film. It was a pleasure taking your pictures Mia, and best of luck to you after your high school career. Meet Mia!

Good luck Mia!

Senior Session: Lauren

It's been a while! Lauren has been asking me to do a photoshoot for a while, so I finally found the time and we got it done this past Sunday! Lauren is a senior at Great Oak High School, and is currently on the varsity dance team. We met about two years ago when we were both on the dance team together! She has plans of attending Boston College next fall, and has an incredible resemblance to Rachel McAdams (in my opinion). Meet Lauren!

Thank you Lauren and have an amazing senior year!

Portrait Session: Nicole

Meet Nicole! Nicole and I met in high school and have been good friends ever since. This is her second photoshoot with me, and she is such a natural in front of the camera! Nicole is currently a model for Hollister Co., and is working on building her portfolio to hopefully sign with a major modeling agency. When I ask her why she feels so natural in front of a camera, she responds with "All those years of watching America's Next Top Model have taught me well!" I tested out a new location with Nicole today in the rose garden of Temecula, and I am pretty pleased with the results. Best of luck to you Nicole with your modeling career!

It's always a pleasure working with you Nicole!
